BUSINESS SITUATION: An industry leading company sought to assess employee engagement in their manufacturing environment. They saw a connection between employee engagement, productivity, and safety where highly engaged employees perform better in all of those aspects.


RESEARCH OBJECTIVES: Assess Employee Engagement and identify and prioritize improvement opportunities.


METHOD: A survey that incorporated drivers of engagement was administered to employees in the plant and distribution facilities.


OUTCOME: The research was used to improve engagement and performance. Findings prioritized issues most important to engagement, which the company shared with the different plants and distribution facilities to work on. Specifically:


         Improvement initiatives were undertaken at a systemic level, across plants for priority improvement areas. As a result, safety improved leading the company to nationally recognized safety recognition and awards.

         In-depth diversity and inclusion analyses were done as well, enabling the company to further develop and successfully enhance their inclusion initiatives.
