The Challenge of Linkage & Integration

Linking financial, customer, employee and operational data can be challenging. The way a bank having multiple branches performs linkage analysis probably will not work for a company that conducts all of its business via a single outlet or Web site.

Multiple obstacles can make linkage and integration of financial and non-financial data difficult. An organization must have the right data. It must be able to locate, access and assemble these data. The cooperation of managers who “own” the data must be enlisted. The organization also needs sufficient resources to prepare the data for analysis. Resources, tools and techniques for performing linkage analyses also may pose a challenge.

One key to successful linkage and integration of multiple data sources is knowing what obstacles to look for and how to address each of these obstacles. Burke has assisted numerous clients in diverse industries and market settings in confronting and managing the challenges of linkage.
