BURKE, INC. PROMOTES MARY BETH MAPSTONE
TO SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF FINANCE & ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES


Cincinnati, OH (April 4, 2005) - Burke, Inc., a market leader in custom research and decision support services, has promoted Mary Beth Mapstone to senior vice president of finance & administrative services.

From 1979-1984, Mary Beth served as administrative assistant and manager of data entry and scheduling at Burke, Inc. In 1984, she left Burke to complete her master's degree in business administration and to obtain her certified public accountant's license. Since returning to Burke in 1994 as controller, Mary Beth has been instrumental in managing accounting system conversions, ownership changes, and employee benefits. In 1999, she was promoted to vice president and named to the operating committee.

"She has been a force in developing and maintaining major pieces of the infrastructure that we rely on to support Burke's position as a leading decision support company."

In addition to working at Burke, Mary Beth has served as an auditor in the small business division of Arthur Andersen & Co., associate director of administrative operations at People Working Cooperatively, and controller at On Target Media, Inc. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Miami and a master of business administration from the University of Cincinnati.
